Useful Information: Load factors are one measure of the efficiency of an office building. The formula for determining a load factor is R/U ratio - 1. Thus, 25,000 sq ft of Rentable divided by 20,000 sq ft of useable = 1.25 load factor. Typically, the higher the load factor the higher the expenses of the building, notwithstanding offsets including environmental efficiencies.
